What It Is
AOD-9604 is a fragment of growth hormone — specifically amino acids 177-191 from the C-terminal end. Researchers at Monash University found that this small piece of HGH retains the fat-burning effects while having zero growth-promoting or blood-sugar-disrupting effects. It's HGH's lipolytic activity isolated from everything else.
How It Works
Mimics GH's fat-burning action by stimulating lipolysis (fat breakdown) and inhibiting lipogenesis (fat creation) without activating the GH receptor or raising IGF-1. It appears to work through a mechanism separate from the classical GH pathway. Importantly, it does NOT cause the insulin resistance or blood sugar issues associated with full-length HGH.
What The Research Shows
Reduced body weight and fat mass in obese animal models without affecting food intake or lean mass.
No effect on glucose or insulin — a critical safety distinction from full-length HGH.
More recently studied for cartilage repair — it may have chondrogenic (cartilage-building) properties.
