GHRP-6

What It Is

GHRP-6 is one of the original growth hormone releasing peptides — a ghrelin mimetic that produces powerful GH release but comes with side effects that newer compounds have eliminated. The main ones: intense hunger (it strongly activates the appetite pathway), and mild cortisol/prolactin elevation at higher doses. Still popular for researchers who want maximum GH output and don't mind the appetite boost.

How It Works

Activates the ghrelin receptor on the pituitary, triggering GH release through the PLC/PKC pathway. Unlike ipamorelin, GHRP-6 is non-selective — it also activates hypothalamic NPY neurons (causing hunger) and mildly stimulates the HPA axis (causing cortisol and ACTH elevation). The GH output is strong, but you're getting more systemic effects along with it.
