What It Is
Melanotan-2 is a non-selective melanocortin agonist — it hits MC1R through MC5R receptors all at once. The results: tanning without UV exposure (MC1R), appetite suppression (MC4R), and increased sexual arousal (MC4R). PT-141 was actually derived from MT-2 by making it more selective. MT-2 gives you the whole package, which is either a feature or a bug depending on what you're after.
How It Works
MC1R activation → melanogenesis (tanning). MC3R → energy homeostasis. MC4R → appetite suppression AND sexual arousal. MC5R → exocrine function. Because MT-2 hits all of these, you get multiple effects simultaneously. The tanning is UV-independent — melanocytes produce eumelanin (dark pigment) without sun exposure.
